From Weekend Knitting: “If ever there is a time for throw pillows, it’s weekends. Toss these two on the couch, on the hammock, or at the back of a big, cushy armchair, then lean back and relax.”

Yarn: Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran Tweed (85% wool, 10% silk, 5% cashmere; 104 yards / 50 grams)

  • Solid Pillow: #122 beach (oatmeal), 4 skeins.
  • Floral Pillow: #113 russet (dark brown), 3 skeins; #122 beach (oatmeal), #121 brindle (gray), and #119 licorice (black), 1 skein each.

Needles:

  • One set straight needles size US 8 (5 mm).
  • Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle, 18” square knife-edge pillow form for each pillow, four 7/8” buttons for each pillow.

Two Patterns: One is a plain, solid pillow, the other is a floral intarsia design. Both have button closures.
