The inspiration for the Floral Terrace design was from the many floral stitch patterns in stitch dictionaries.

Each of the original stitch patterns selected for the wrap were customized to work with the design repeat sections. Decreases were also added in amongst the petals to shape the wrap in a curve.

The top tier is Snowdrop lace from Harmony Guides 450 Knitting Stitches.
-The middle tier is an Estonian flowering vine (which I have named Morning Glory) from the Haapsalu Shawl book.
-The bottom tier is a mixed border of Rosebuds from Heirloom Lace, and tiny Tulips from Harmony Guides 450 Knitting Stitches.
-The edging on both the bottom and side borders is the Italian Butterfly Stitch, from the well-loved (and somewhat dog-eared in my library!) A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker.

Pattern was professionally tech edited by Robin Melanson.
