This blanket is knitted with a garter stitch centre and a garter stitch border, in a variation of Old Shale stitch. Small and light, it is the perfect cover-up for daytime naps and would make a lovely nursing blanket.
Note that the shaping is done within the corners-the stitch count for the side portions of the border remain the same and the corners become larger.
