This pattern is available for free.

A soft and beautiful cowl/neckwarmer that works up quickly in alternating rows of extended treble and twisted stitch (a slip stitch variation). Project starts and ends with a sideways cluster row (no starting chain!); spiral rose “buttons” are worked in one with the rows and secured with a few stitches after finishing to keep the spirals in place. Florealis is a truly one-piece project that combines easy but non-standard stitches for striking results.

For best results, choose a lofty yarn (heavy worsted or light bulky). Long colour changes work especially well with this pattern.

Pattern can be easily enlarged/reduced by adding or subtracting starting clusters or rows. If altering pattern size, be sure to end Row 8 (or final twisted stitch row) with an even number of stitches.

Pattern is free on my blog (see link below), and includes helpful photos with step-by-step instructions for special stitches used.

Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting!
