In celebration of Local Yarn Store Day on April 30, we’re so excited to present another fantastic mystery knit along. After journeying through our home states of Pennsylvania and Maryland, we decided to head south for some fun in the sun for our 2022 Road Trip Mystery. What better location than The Sunshine State? We’ll continue our celebration of knitting and local yarn shops as we create a beautiful V-shaped shawl featuring textures and lace designs inspired by various locations in Florida.

If you’re a yarn shop, please go to roadtripmystery.com to sign up and participate in our knit-along! Or feel free to send a PM or an email to cynthia@reallyclear.com. (We’ll have a new trip in 2023!)

The shawl can be made shorter or longer, depending on height and preference. Either way, you’ll need about 300 yards each of 4 skeins of fingering-weight yarn. The shorter size requires slightly less.

We have selected 8 different color combinations of yarns using one of our hand-dyed favorites, Emma’s Yarn! This company is based in Florida and with their gorgeous colors, tipped their decision for where to travel. Scroll through the photos to see all the fabulous options. Your local yarn store can call Emma’s to purchase these packs--or may have other wonderful combinations for fingering-weight yarn.

All the clues have now been released!

Of course, road trips are always more fun with friends. Pop on by the Fans of Really Clear group in the forums to ask questions, see how others are getting along, and share your own progress. We also have a private group on Facebook called Road Trip Mystery Group.

Thanks for joining us, and happy travels!
