I designed an early version of this cowl for my aunt, who lives in Florida. I wanted something that was light and comfortable, and didn’t need to keep the wearer warm. The combination of the open pattern and the cotton blend yarn did the trick.

The cowl is worked flat, starting from a provisional cast on, then grafted together. The eyelet pattern is quick and easy to memorize.
