flotsam is the term for floating pieces of rubbish from a shipwreck. this shawl is a stashbuster. use your own flotsam and create something useful and beautiful again.

needles: US 6 (4mm) 32” (80cm) circular needles PLUS dpns OR circular needles long enough for magic loop, or size needed to obtain gauge

yarn: 250g of fingering weight scraps, held double throughout pattern
note: depending on the type(s) of yarns used, yardage may vary widely. 250g is a safe amount to use without running out of yardage, but the real beauty of this project is that you can add any fingering weight yarn to it if you find you are running out!

notions: 8 stitch markers, blocking equipment
