I often find myself wishing that I could escape to a little cottage in the country and live a life full of wildflowers, fireflies, and freshly baked bread. While that dream is not yet a reality for me, at least I have this little bag to support my cottagecore fantasy!

This bag uses both knitting and crochet techniques to give the look of a woven basket full of flowers! For this pattern you can use any yarn you like as long as it is worsted weight. You can also substitute the floral border with anything you like, or omit it completely!

While making this pattern gauge is not a concern, but I’m providing it anyway just in case!

You will also need about a yard of satin ribbon for the drawstring as well as some small stitch holders.

The floral border is a modification of the technique demonstrated in this free tutorial by Olga Poltava.
