Pattern Details

• Refer to Appendix A for example project details.
• Skill Level: Intermediate.
• Yarn: DK/8ply/Cat. 3 weight or Worsted/10ply/Cat. 4 weight (for larger coaster), ~10-15g/0.4-0.5oz per coaster. Low-pill or non-pill, easy wash fibre (such as cotton, cotton blends, bamboo blends, and certain acrylics).
• Hook: Use yarn label instructions as a guide for selecting hook size. Swatch to determine the optimal hook size for your tension.
• Coaster Size: Varies with weight of yarn and number of Petals. ~12-15cm/4.7-5.9in in diameter in DK.
• Gauge: Specific gauge not required.
• Stitch Terminology: US. Refer to Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
• Notions: Scissors and darning needle.
• Pattern Synopsis: Constructed in seven rounds, using textured stitches – five rounds form the textured centre, then petals are made in the last two rounds.
