The written sources tells us that it began in Gloppen in Nordfjord, Norway in the
beginning of 1800´s. There was the unique sweaters called “stolpetrøye”. They are easy to
place in a geografical setting because of the construction on the pattern.
The construction of the pattern consist of vertical stripes, every other wide and smal.
They could consist of four-armed crosses and squares in different shapes, but also with the
eight-petalled rose or a flower. My design is heavily inspired from these sweaters, but with a little twist.

The pattern is in 10 sizes, from 34 to 60 in European sizes.
The gauge is 26 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches.
It´s knitted bottom up and has raglan sleeves.
It´s a straight fit, so it suits both male and female.
