With echoes of 60’s Flower Power, this ear warmer is knit with short rows, then felted in a washing machine or dryer for exact sizing. Applique flowers are knit and felted separately, then sewn to the band post-felting. A blanket stitch edging completes the handicrafted look.

MATERIALS

Needles: Size US 5 circular needles or size to achieve gauge

Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, washing machine or dryer for felting, sewing needle, transparent thread

Yarn: Cascade Eco + Hemp:

Yarn A: Deep Lagoon- 1 skein; 130 yards
Yarn B: Birch Heather- 1 skein; 10 yards
Yarn C: Red Dahlia- 1 skein; 10 yards
Yarn D: Bristol Blue- 1 skein; 15 yards

GAUGE: 24 sts = 4 inches
