Description

With a floral motif top and cabled rib sides, this beret looks intriguing and intricate from every angle. It is knit in the round from the center of the crown outward. Intermediate and advanced knitters will enjoy the challenge of changing stitch counts and patterns almost every row.

Materials

Yarn: Aran weight, approximately 164 yds (150 m).

Shown in: Lorna’s Laces Bullfrogs and Butterflies, in colorway Whisper. Aran weight, 85% wool, 15% goat—mohair. 190 yds (174 m) per 113g skein. 1 skein used.

Needles: U.S. size 6 (4.0 mm) 16” (40.5 cm) circular needle; U.S. size 6 (4.0 mm) 24” (61 cm) circular needle; 1 set of U.S. size 6 (4.0 mm) double pointed needles.

Gauge: 20 stitches x 33 rows = 4”x 4” (10 cm x10 cm) in stockinette stitch, without blocking. Remember to knit your swatch in the round!

Notions: Cable needle, locking stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Finished Measurements: 10.5” (27 cm) diameter, laid flat. Fits head circumference 19-25” (48-64 cm).
