This is a baby bolero worked in aran-weight yarn. The garment is worked in one piece from the top down incorporating the cable along the neckline. It starts with a provisional cast-on, then a short section of the braided cable is worked. Then stitches are picked up along one edge of the cable and from the cast-on edge, allowing the body of the cardigan to grow from there. The cable continues along each edge. The bolero incorporates raglan sleeve shaping, short-row shaping on the body and a knitted-on cable.

This pattern features in Issue 88 of Knit Now, which is on sale from 17th May in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK. Find your nearest UK stockist here. Copies can also be ordered from MoreMags or if you prefer, digital editions are available via PocketMags.
