This pattern can be made with any yarn you like.
The definite size of the pillow can be adjusted by the amount of squares you make.

I used cotton for my pillow.
This makes a soft and very flexible frontcover for the pillow.
The thickness of the yarn matches a 4.5 mm crochet hook.

But like I said: just use any size you like.
