For this cushion, crochet 18 flower squares with 5 balls of Scheepjeswol Stonewashed XL yarn. The front side of the cushion is made of two toned flower squares, the back is made of solid squares. When joining them, start with the centre square, then the adjacent side, top and bottom squares, followed by the corners. This way the joints all look the same.

This cushion is crocheted around the inner cushion, starting with a finished front, then the back was made as follows: inner square, both side squares and directly attached to the front cover, bottom centre square also directly attached to the front, bottom corners and directly attached to the front. Insert the inner cushion, add the top row centre square, followed by the corners. And your cushion is done. If you’d like to keep the cushion open on one end, don’t close the last top row of squares and add buttons in between the two bobbles of the top 3 squares. Blocking of the cushion is not necessary, since the inner cushion will shape the flower squares nicely.
