The Flowericious Hat is designed to coordinate with the Flowericious Pullover and uses the same stranded colorwork motif. It’s worked in the round from the brim up, beginning with a currogated ribbing, followed by the colorwork section and simple crown decreases.

Stranded sections are charted only. Maintain an even float tension throughout, and use a needle size that gives you a firm but flexible fabric. If you tend to knit colorwork tightly, consider going up a needle size for the stranded portion.

Materials
Any kind of worsted weight yarn, that is 190m/100g, 208yds/3.5oz, merino or merino blend, if possible
2 colors – Main Color (MC) – yellow on sample, Contrast Color (CC) – gray on sample
The sample made of Ella Ray Cozy Alpaca yarn, color numbers: #60 Fawn, #42 Cornerstone

Required amount of yarn – colors MC/CC (without pompom)
Size1: approx. 88/70m, 96/77yds
Size2: approx. 95/80m, 104/88yds

Knitting needles 1(2)
3.5mm/US4 (3.75mm/US5) for the ribbing of the hat
4mm/US6 (4.5mm/US7) for the body of the hat

Tapestry needle – to weave in ends
Fur pompom or pompom maker to make your own pompom

Gauge
Size 1: 23sts X 28 rows = 4”, with 4mm/US6 needles, in stockinette stitches (after blocking)
Size 2: 22sts X 27 rows = 4”, with 4.5mm/US7 needles, in stockinette stitches (after blocking)
Check your gauge for proper sizing. Increase or decrease your needle size until proper gauge is met.
