Make your own whimsical earmuffs! This is the pattern for the viral Flowermuffs, a 3-in-1 crochet pattern that will fully guide you on how to make a Lilymuff, Orchidmuff, and Pansymuff. This is a written pattern with diagrams, in depth instructions, and video tutorials. There’s also information on lily anatomy and dyeing yarn.

This is rated as an intermediate pattern for crocheters.

The following materials and abbreviations are used:

General:
-4mm crochet hook
-tapestry needle
-stitch markers
Lillies:
-40 yards of category 4 DK weight yarn
-1-2 colors needed for petal
-20 yards of category 1 super fine weight yarn*
-1-2 colors needed for stamen bud, stigma bud, and the style
-22 gauge wire or floral wire
-sewing needle and thread
-fabric or super glue
The category 1 fine yarn will be used to wrap the lily stamens. DK 4 weight will also work if you don’t have thinner yarn, and will make the stamens look thicker.
Pansies:
-40 yards of category 4 DK weight yarn
-1-3 colors needed
Orchids:
-40 yards of category 4 DK weight yarn
-1-2 colors needed
Earmuffs:
-60 yards of category 4 DK weight yarn
-sewing needle and thread
Optional:
-jewelry pliers
-tye dye, beads, and other fun objects to decorate!
* if you want to dye your yarn, it is recommended to use a natural fiber such as cotton or wool
