Flowers and Frames is a sampler of sorts full of texture, stitch work and a choose your own adventure in colorwork. While I do not recommend a short burst variegated yarn because it wont play nicely with business of the stitches, I do think it could be fun in the “flower” stitches (bobbles, puffs, and popcorns). It is worked in 6 squares that are joined together and ending in a simple textural border.  The textures in the flowers and frames work up in a stair stepping way that lends to even more textural play. 

     It’s been so fun working my stitch knowledge muscles to create lots of elements of texture and stitch play, letting them shine and show themselves off. I hope you love it as much as I do and look forward to seeing how you decide to create it.
