SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate

MATERIALS
Cozy Cotton Fingering Weight (#1) Yarn. I used Fuzzy What Knots 100% Pima Cotton in Sky Blue – MC (870 yards), New Leaf – C1 (300 yards), and Blush – C2 (430 yards)
Crochet Hook Size E – 3.5 mm (or size to obtain gauge)
Scissors
Tape Measure
Tapestry Needle

GAUGE: 20 DC sts x 12 rows = 4 x 4 inches (unblocked)

FINISHED MEASUREMENT: Approximately 70” Width x 18” Height (Unblocked)

DC – Double Crochet
FDC – Foundation Double Crochet

NOTES

1. Read the pattern carefully before starting.
2. The turning ch 1 does not count as a st, but ch 3 counts as 1 DC.
3. Asterisks * * indicate pattern repeats. You will need to repeat all the instructions between asterisks.
4. The main pattern is multiple of 8 + 1 and the mesh edging is multiple of 6 + 1. You can customize the pattern by adding or subtracting the number of the foundation chain. Make sure though when modifying the size of your shawl that you have to consider the multiples given to achieve the right number of stitches. Also, remember that customizing the size of your shawl will change the yardage required.
