Jumping into a pile of leaves - hearing and feeling the crunch of dried leaves beneath my feet - is my favorite part of autumn. Flowing Leaves Shawl has no shortage of leaves and is full of texture and visual interest.

Flowing Leaves Shawl is one of nine designs in The Sun and Fog Fall 2022 Leaves collection, a collaboration of knit and crochet designs by West Coast designers, dyers and yarn shops. Be sure to check out all nine designs!

Flowing Leaves Shawl is a two-color, crescent-shaped shawl featuring stockinette, eyelet bands, lace, twist stitches, and a knitted-on bottom border. Worked top-down, alternating eyelet and stockinette bands are worked in contrasting colors. Lace sections add lightness. The bottom border uses short rows to retain the continuous crescent shape of the shawl. The flowing bottom border has a moving cable with leaves, bud branches, and a rolled slip stitch edge.

Yarn requirement includes swatch yarn and extra yarn. Gauge is not critical for this pattern, however, a different gauge will affect the size of your shawl and the amount of yarn used.
