I made this tutorial based on a request from a commenter. I decided to make a hat for the beach or for spending all day outside. A video tutorial is linked in the pattern. I am using cotton for my summer hat. Techniques used in the patterns are: treble crochet (US term) or double treble (UK term), increases, Back Loop Only (BLO), and Front Loop Only (FLO).
