Designed to be made with WildWestDye’s naturally dyed pure merino 2ply fingering weight yarn and boucle. Any fingering weight combined with a textured yarn, up to a bulky weight, will work for this design.

I love mixing smooth and textured yarns and with this vortex style shawl, the boucle stripes throughout for maximum impact, then ends with a fluffy border!

Gauge is not critical: as long as you like the fabric being created, whilst noting a different gauge will result in a different sized shawl.

The design uses a fake i-cord edge, and the added benefit of knitting on the bias and using knit/purl textures ensures your edges do not curl.

Suitable for beginners and up.
