SIZE:
Set is a newborn size. When finished, hat measures 14” around on inside in circumference, ears are about 10 inches long. Diaper cover is 13” wide at waist but adjustable, pompom is 4 inches wide. Booties are 3.75 inches long. Carrot measures 5 inches tall without stems. This will vary slightly based on tension/gauge but matching gauge is recommended so it will fit a newborn.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
-Bernat Blanket Yarn in Colors of Choice
-Main Color: Approx. 7 ounces/147 yds (Baby Sand used in example)
-Accent Color: Approx. 2 ounces/42 yds (Baby Lilac used in example)
-1” Button matching main color, accent color, or color of choice for front of diaper cover
-1-2 oz Orange Worsted Weight Yarn (Red Heart Super Saver Pumpkin used)
-Small amount Green Worsted Weight Yarn (Red Heart Super Saver Spring Green used)
-Small amount Fiberfill Stuffing
-Size L/8.00mm or M/N/9.00mm hook or size needed to achieve gauge
-Size G/4.00mm or size needed to achieve gauge (for carrot)
-Yarn Needle, Stitch Marker or Bobby Pin, Scissors

STITCHES/TECHNIQUES USED:
Pattern is in U.S. terms. Chain, single crochet, back and front post single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, invisible single crochet decrease (recommended), slip stitch, magic loop (optional), continuous rounds, sewing/stitching pieces together (experience with this helpful but not required).

EXPERIENCE LEVEL and TIME:
I do not want to put a label the experience needed for this project and make some feel like this patten is not for them. The same with how long this project takes as it varies so much by crocheter. That said, this would be a great project if you are not brand new to crocheting and have experience reading patterns. It’s all basic stitches but you need a decent knowledge of crocheting due to the variety of pieces/stitch combos. It works up fairly quick for a baby set due to the large yarn/hook!
