Fluffy Initial Blanket
his is a crochet pattern for a corner-to-corner blanket. The pattern contains graphs for all 26 letters of the English alphabet, so you can personalize your blanket for yourself or someone else. Prior knowledge of the corner-to-corner (c2c) method is helpful, but the pattern does include a brief primer.
This blanket will be the perfect gift for a child or teen in your life or as a wedding present (I do not recommend it for babies with this yarn because it will have large holes where a hand could get stuck. However, if you used a baby-weight yarn, it would work for a baby.)
The pattern uses Bernat Blanket yarn (6-Bulky) in two colors. Background color needs around 1,100 yards and letter color needs between 216 and 324 yards. Blanket uses an M-hook and the final size is 51” x 51”.
For blankets shown I used 5 cakes (10.5 oz. each) of Bernat Blanket Charcoal Ombre and 2-3 skeins (5.3 oz. each) of Bernat Blanket in Navy. The amount of yarn will vary depending on the letter you choose.
