The Fluffy Puffy Pillow sure lives up to it’s name: fluffy and oh so very puffy. My idea was a contemporary simplistic design to give my old outdated side pillows a well needed update.

A warm summer day in late July 2017 (thank you Instagram for keeping track of my projects) this little project was initiated. I was so incredibly tiered of looking at my sun bleached old cushions and thought: how can I re-use them? So I grabbed the thickest yarn I had at hand which was this raw wool Polaris by Drops design and started with a simple stitch repeat.

With a yarn this chunky it gave such a great finished texture and also; I was able to finish in two sittings. Win win!

I don’t know why but the pattern then sat on a shelf for 3 years and when I saw the designer callout for the house warming issue by Happily Hooked Magazine; I finally decided to launch it. It’s now published in their Issue 75 and will be released here on SistersInStitch in 2020.

“If I had to pick my favourite design from this months issue, Would have to put this Fluffy Puffy Pillow by @crochetedbytess right up there.”
