-1 skein blue DMC Stranded Cotton embroidery thread
-9 x 5cm blue felt
-1 spool orange Gütermann Sew-All thread
-0.7mm x 6cm jewellery wire for antennae
-Round nose + trimming pliers
-1 tube dark blue Toho round glass beads 8-0, 10 total
-1 safety pin or brooch pin, 5-6cm wide
-Embroidery needle

Pattern notes
Brooch features moth made up of two pairs of Wings (Upper Wings and Lower Wings), Thorax and Head. Upper Wings are joined tog as you go, and Lower Wings, Thorax and Head are worked separately. Once assembled, embroidery, beads and wire antennae are added. Work Top Wings back and forth in rows and using tapestry crochet method: enclose yarn colour not being used as you go. Cc in last yoh of st before change as folls: insert hook in st, yoh, pull up lp in prev colour, yoh in new colour and draw new colour through all lps. Work Lower Wings back and forth in rows in one single colour, adding embroidered spots at end.
