Fly me to the moon

I love the name for this shawl and the feel and look when I wear my beautiful shawl~

The lace border is reminiscing of the moon and the wingspan of this crescent shawl evoke the look of big wings and so the name fits this project perfectly..

Knitted in a bit more than a bulky yarn makes for a super quick knit. This project starts off with a garter tab cast on, increases steadily and a pretty lace border rounds up this great feeling and looking shawl. It has a certain heft to it too, which feels like an instant hug when you put it on.

Measurements unblocked: Total span 85”. Height 20”.
It is a written pattern with the lace being charted.

Yarn: Knitted with “Bulky and then some” yarn cakes

Alternatively: Hold a bulky and a sport weight yarn together throughout the project, 270 yards (247 m) each yarn.

Notions: US size 17 (12 mm) circular needle 32” (81.3 mm) in length - 11 Stitch markers

Gauge: 7 sts and 10 rows in a 4” square (10 cm) knitted in stockinette stitch, unblocked
