Flying Diamonds Baby Blanket

A simple but elegant repeating pattern, worked from the centre out. Designed as a baby blanket, the pattern repeat means you can keep going until the blanket is as large as you want it.
For a baby blanket 30”/76cm square, you will need approximately 340g of DK yarn. I used Stylecraft Batik Swirl in ‘Highland’, and used a ball and a half.
After four rounds, my blanket measures ~4”/10cm across. However, because this is a repeating pattern, matching gauge is not essential.
The pattern is written in US terms, and a stitch chart for the first 16 rounds is also available.
