The truth is out there, my friends, and it’s super cute!

This fun accessory set was inspired by my love of science fiction, science fact, and that grey area where the two sometimes blur together. I don’t know about you, but I want to believe so hard, and I am ready for the day when we can finally embrace our distant cousins from parts unknown, assuming they are of a huggable substance.

The much-maligned tin foil hat gets a bit of an overhaul here when made of a lush metallic yarn that even the most hardened conspiracy theorist would have to admit is preferable to your head looking like last night’s leftovers.

The real star of the show is the Flying Saucer Fascinator. Modeled after vintage science fiction magazine depictions of UFOs, this is the ultimate science fiction lover’s accessory! The comfy accompanying headband allows you to position the saucer on your head anyway you like. It’s a little retro, a little futuristic, and a little posh!

Your purchase includes a written pattern, photos, construction notes for an average adult size (22”) head for both the Tin Foil Hat and the Flying Saucer Fascinator, and troubleshooting from me should you need it.

Additional gauge information is listed in the pattern as measurements.

This pattern uses US crochet terminology throughout and is written in English.
