A stylish cushion created from one long piece of knitting. The open edge of the cover then folds over to the front, enclosing the cushion pad. Make this project in a variety of colours or textures. Here I have aired pure silk with a mohair-blend yarn, both in stocking stitch. Alternatively work the covers in a different stitch using any of the pattern stitches on pages 50-51 and 54-57

Materials:

4 x 50g balls lightweight DK silk yarn, such as Rowan Pure Silk DK or 8 x 25g balls medium-weight mohair-blend yarn, such as Rowan Kid Silk Aura.

40cm square cusion pad
pair each of 3.75 mm and 4mm needles
