Folie Douce is a loose, feminine V-neck cardigan knitted with three strands of mohair and silk held together. Every stitch is a promise of softness. A mock cable along the raglan lines and a double-knit button band give it a touch of quiet sophistication.

The cardigan is worked top-down in one piece, with raglan increases and V-neck shaping worked at the same time. A few German short rows on the back lengthen it slightly before the ribbed hem. Sleeves are knitted in the round from the held stitches and finished with a ribbed cuff. All edges are bound off with an Italian bind-off.

This pattern was published in issue no. 1 of Tricote, the first French knitting pattern magazine. It is available in French only, in the printed magazine.
