Add some lacy goodness to your winter and mid-season looks with this fun shawl pattern! The FOLKLORE is a design aimed at ADVANCED level crocheters, who are confident learning new stitches and experienced at following patterns.

The design is a wide triangular shape, which consists of an 11-row repeat and can be made to any size. Fringe optional but brief instructions for it are included. No sewing required.

It assumes you know how to do the following stitches:

  • Chain
  • Slip Stitch
  • Single Crochet
  • Double Crochet
  • Triple Crochet
  • Puff Stitch

The pattern was made with a 3.5mm hook and double stranded yarn, specifically Cobweb weight Mohair Blend yarn (100g for a 3 repeat rounds + fringes) and Light Fingering weight Acrylic/Viscose blend Yarn (200g for 3 repeat rounds + fringes).

You can use a single strand of yarn as well as different yarn weights and hook sizes, although the lacy effect is more delicate if you stick to Sport weight and below.

Pattern is One Size, but you can choose how many repeat rounds you make in order to determine the width and length of the finished item. (3 rounds make more of a ‘shawlette’, while 5 would make a large statement shawl)
