This pattern is called “Fontenay” after the world-reknowned abbey in France which I visited two years ago, wearing a mint green version of this sweater, which blended well with the architecture and the surroundings.

The pattern is in one size (XS) only, suitable for a child of 12-16 and petite young women (see also dimensions). A medium size version can be knit by knitting on larger needles (5mm), and/or by adding a repeat of the Estonian starflower lace pattern, and half a repeat of the bottom hem pattern.
