Knitting Needles
Needle for sewing in ends
Needle and thread for attaching to item
Scissors
I have knitted two different samples to illustrate this lace.
One is a red swatch knit with size 2mm needles (US size 0 / old UK 14) and it is knit with Crochet thread No.5, this specific thread is Elle but it is a South Africa company and is probably not widely available. The red swatch came out at 3cm / 1.18” deep after swatching.
For my large white/Ecru sample which I knit and then sewed to a pillow case I used Anchor Freccia No.12 with 1.5mm needles (US 000 / Old UK 17) This one was 1.6cm / 0.62” deep after blocking
