This simple reversible lace shawl is knit from the bottom up, increasing in steps to form little hexagons. It is the first in a series of 3 lace shawls that are formed with reversible tessellations: Lace Revelations.

Sunlight and shiny yarn highlight the differences between the stockinette/reverse stockinette sections.

For the Bees is a shallow triangle: for every 10 rows, 18 stitches are added.

Although the sample was knit in lace weight, it could easily be knit in any weight of yarn. Shiny yarn helps to show the pattern off, which is why the sample was knit with a 50 merino/50 silk blend.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, yo.
