A 1-color garter stitch triangular shawl that is truly purl-free!

THE STORY

I love garter stitch - it eliminates that pesky purl stitch that just messes with my flow. This shawl has NO purl sts - just good ol’ garter and some simple lace. This shawl is the quintessential TV knit project!

  • Tôt le Matin Yarns Tôt Sport (sport weight; 100% superwash merino wool; 328 yds/ 300 m per 3.5 oz / 100g), 3 skeins: ‘Champagne’
  • US 6 (4 mm) 32” / 80 cm circular needle (or length preferred for comfort)
  • Locking/removable stitch marker (optional)
  • Ring stitch markers (14)
  • Row counter (optional, recommended)
  • Tapestry needle

  • Note that the charted instructions vary graphically from the written instructions. Work from the written instructions for the Cast On & Setup Section, then the remainder of the shawl may be worked from the charts with the exception of the Border and Bind Off.
