Every forager deserves a pair of socks that matches their level of whimsy.

Knit in a textured stitch that resembles a trusty basket, and including a sturdy heel flap and gusset construction, even those searching high and low for what they need in a grocery store can get in on the fun with their own pair of these socks!

Materials
Needles: Size US 1 (2.25mm) needles in either 9”/23cm circulars, 32”/81cm circulars, or DPNs. I used 9” circulars for most of the sock and DPNs for the end of the toe.

Yarn: Approx. (260, 295, 330)yds/ (238, 270, 302)m/(48, 55, 62)g of fingering weight yarn. Seen here in Shield Sock from Painted Fern Fiber Co. (437yds/100g) in the colorways sock set Stories by the Fire.
Sample shown is Size 2 with 220yds/50g of MC, and 74yds/17g of CC

Notions: BOR marker, 2 additional markers for gusset and toe decreases, tapestry needle
