This shawl is knit from end to end, beginning with a 16 stitch cast on, then gradually increasing, decreasing, and finally binding off 16 stitches. Worked in stockinette stitch with a knit-as-you-go lace edge.

This pattern is adaptable to a variety of yarn weights. The shawl pictured is knit in DK yarn, and measures approximately 57 inches in length. Perfect for a cozy wrap on those brisk walks in the woods, hunting and gathering.

For the advanced beginner knitter. A nice introduction to lace knitting and chart-following. You need to have mastered knit and purl stitches, and should be familiar with basic increases/decreases like knit 2 together, psso, yarn over, etc.)

Pattern includes easy-to-follow written instructions, as well as a chart for lace edging.
