A twisted-rib brim flows into panels of baby-fern stitch, each separated by a column of single twisted stitches. The crown decreases are worked into the baby-fern stitch panels for a smooth transition at the top.

Beanie: 16(18)” brim circumference, unstretched; 17(19 1/8)” circumference around body of hat, unstretched
Slouch: 16(18)” brim circumference, unstretched; 21.25”(23.5”) circumference around body of hat, unstretched

Yarn: Navajo by Tahki Select (100% wool, 190 yards/50g per ball)
1(1) ball or 120(130) yards worsted-weight yarn for Beanie;
1(2) balls or 190(215) yards for Slouch

Needle: #6 dps and 16” circular
