Pattern is worked in the round from brim to crown.
Hat may be knit in a single color or in a few colors, as desired; if multicolor, I recommend switching colors to work the of Texture Stripe sections.
This is a stretchy hat.

Difficulty/Skills Required: Beginner. Knit, purl, long-tail cast on, K2tog decreases, KFB increases, knit in the round.

Yarn Weight: DK or light worsted

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker

Gauge: Ribbing on smaller needles: 23 sts and 30 rnds = 4” / 10 cm
Stockinette and texture on larger needles: 21 sts and 28 rnds = 4” / 10 cm

Suggested Yarns:
Sew Happy Jane Meadow DK, (100% Fine Merino / Rambouillet Wool); 240 yds / 219 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein.

If substituting yarn, I recommend choosing a solid or tonal DK yarn to show off the texture.
