Top-down. Written for circular needles, but easily adapted to DPNs or magic loop. Written for a cast-on of 68 stitches, but easily changed by adding on an extra stitch or 2 (or taking away) from the edges of the charts.

This pattern uses a Fleegle heel - easy and fun, no picking up stitches, and no holes!

I was working on this pattern one night when my daughter was driving us to the movies. It was shortly before she got her license. It was her first time driving at night. Those of you riding with new teen drivers know how stressful and scary this can be. Every time, I feel like I get a few new gray hairs.

But this time she really did well, and driving at night turned out to be a piece of cake for her. I was annoyed with myself for feeling like 100 years old. So, “Forever Young” seemed like a suitable title. :-)
