This bright blue you see is my favorite color, and I was curious if there were blue flowers (other than Hydrangeas and Roses), so I hopped onto Pinterest, searched for “blue flowers” and up popped a gorgeous little flower called a Forget Me Not.

Materials:

  • Small Amount of Worsted Weight Yarn - I used Lily Sugar n Cream in the Yellow, White, and my main color (MC) in Rose Pink, and Blueberry, plus Bernat Handicrafter Delux in Purple
  • H8/5mm Crochet Hook
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Optional, Jewelry Pliers

Material Notes:
Yarn Alternatives to Lily Sugar n Cream: Bernat’s Handicrafter, Red Heart’s Smoothie, Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran, Rico Creative Cotton Aran

Any yarn weight with respective hook will work for this - I just happened to be going through my cotton stash in the making of these.

Weaving in ends of a tough yarn, like cotton yarn, can be hard on the fingers. Sore thumbs and frustration can be a thing of the past by simply using jewelry pliers to carefully help pull the tapestry needle through the work.

Time Spent:
Just over 15 minutes per flower.

Measurements:
3.5” Wide from Tip of One Petal Across to Other

Gauge - Not Essential:
16 HDC by 10 Rows = 4”

Abbreviations:

  • DC - Double Crochet
  • SC - Single Crochet
  • HDC - Half Double Crochet
