Förskolekoftan is a warm and cosy cardigan perfect to wear on kindergarten. From the time when the child is small it’s perfect to wear when sleeping outdoors in the stroller, or to use as a thin coat during fall and spring, or when it’s the coldest of winter to wear as a second layer. The big buttons and the loose model is also perfect for children who are practicing to get dressed by themselves. Since the cardigan is meant to use leftover yarns it suits extra well to be worn at kindergarten.

The cardigan is knitted with one thread of DK together with one thread of mohair, you can also swap the DK to double thread of fingering yarn. Mix and match what you have in your stash!

The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up, is joined together and decreased at the yoke with raglan. You will thereafter knit the closure and sew an cut the steek. If you would rather make a sweater you will just skip the steek stitches and knit in the round from the beginning.

Yarn
Between 200-250 grams of dk yarn (or fingering held double) together with 40-70 grams of thin mohair.
Play with your yarn stash and create a unique and fun cardigan where you use up a bunch of leftovers!
