The Forward Slash Headband is a slanted rib pattern. It makes a great Christmas or birthday gift for anyone who spends time outdoors.
I used King Cole Wool Aran in the shade of Parsley for my headband. I wanted to use wool for extra warmth. This headband will need to be lightly blocked when finished. I just used steam for mine. It helps the finished fabric to relax and shows the stitch pattern beautifully. The width of the headband will be approximately 4 inches.

This pattern is knitted flat using straight needles. The pattern is 6 rows repeated to the required length. It is an excellent pattern for confident beginners.

Materials
5 mm straight needles (SPNs)
Aran yarn 70 - 100m/76 - 110 yds (I used King Cole Wool Aran)
Tapestry needle (to seam and to weave in the ends)
