So my good friend Stacey, mastermind behind Brazen Stitchery, had an oopsie in the dye pots one day, so she over dyed it and Cyber Queen was born! (You can get your own skein of Cyber Queen here!) I saw Cyber Queen at Stitches Tx and was drawn in by the color. (Surprising since it’s mostly neutral and I love bright colors.) Then she brought it to San Antonio for a trunk show. Just a few hours before the show was over I looked at her and said, “I think you need to give me that skein of yarn so I can design something for you,” and she said, “Okay!”

Foundry was meant to have a very steampunk feel to it (I mean those colors! C’mon!) It incorporates a beaded picot cast on, garter and stockinette stitches, bobbles, mesh lace, and German short rows to create the look of riveted metal and grates. The long, shallow triangle makes it perfect for wrapping around and around!

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
