Andrea designed this pattern specifically for our 2020 Advent Calendar. Our theme was Cozy Canadian Cabin and included the yarn and extras from our northern Canadian area.
The pattern comes with diagrams to show the direction of the knitting for each of six squares. A second diagram shows the placement of the squares for joining.
Colours for the 4 sides of the log cabin squares were divided into groups of 6. Each represented one of the 4 seasons.
If using your own yarn grouping your minis into 4 distinct groups will enhance the overall appearance of the cloak.
If you wish to see our selection of yarns in the 4 sets of Seasonal colours, they can be found on our website under GOTS merino www.naturalewe.ca
The Gauge is 22-23 stitches for 4 inches and then blocked to 20 stitches per 4 inches. This allows for stretching the squares into straight lines.
We hope you enjoy the leisurely knit.
