Four Sides to Every Story is an eye-catching but simple introduction to intarsia colorwork knitting. With only one change of color per colorwork row, you will get plenty of low-key practice! Plus, the combination of a main color and five contrast colors gives unlimited color choices to make this scarf your own!

Nice to Know
The scarf is worked flat end to end. Simple intarsia is used to make the color changes.
Note about changing colors in intarsia knitting: When making the color change, bring the second yarn under and to the right of the first yarn to twist them together. Then continue knitting with the second yarn.
In the first row of a color change, you will not be able to twist the yarns. You will just add the new color. This will leave a small hole that is easily closed when weaving in the ends.
Break yarns where indicated.
Do not make slipped stitch edges too tight.
An applied I-cord edge finishes each long side.
Don’t worry if your scarf looks very narrow while knitting. It will block out just fine!
