This is a simple garter stitch pattern using two strands of yarn and four colours.

Each of the colours represents something you would wish for a new arrival. You are instructed to knit each stitch with love.

I have included a few lines about the colours and their significance in with the pattern - you are welcome to use these when you give the blanket to your little one.

Use any DK yarn - I chose acrylic for its ease of care.

If you change the colours, bear in mind that your ‘wishes’ will probably need to change too.
