Four Years
This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino (1971-2004).
“Four Years” is a simple garter scarf with four colors and transitional stripes. Stripes are located where the color changes occur. Seemingly random but carefully laid out locations of the solid and stripe sections create many different appearances. It is all about the colors, which can be tonal or contrasting.
The scarf can be either blocked or not-blocked. However, the pattern is written to achieve the target length with blocking.
Finished size (with blocking): 70” (178cm) x 7.5” (19cm)
The pattern has the “final note from Yuki” explaining my fundraising update in English. I added the Japanese translation for this pattern.

All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to the Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.
Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU (www.hokariminoru.org) to meet Mino.
