Mitts to match the Fractal Lattice Hat :)

“Let this be a time that you remember that your life is greater than simply being a person in the world who has basic needs. It is this greater part of you—this greater calling and this greater purpose—that gives meaning to all the lesser aspects of yourself and unites them harmoniously and fulfills their roles.” M Summers

Materials:
• One 2.25mm / US size 1 circular needle 100cm / 40” in length for magic loop or DPN’s, or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• Stitch markers, optional, one of which is used to mark the beginning of round.
• Stitch holder or waste yarn.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• Fingering weight yarn in three colours, approximately 150m / 164 yds of the Main Colour, 24m / 26 yds of the Contrast Colour 1 and 20m / 22 yds of Contrast colour 2. Sample shown in Katia united Sock - 75% wool 25% polyamide, 100m / 109 yds per 25g in colourways Strawberry Red (MC), Mustard (CC 1) and Navy (CC 2).

Size:
One size, 18cm / 7” in circumference and 19.5cm / 7.5” long after blocking, using stated gauge.

A note on sizing - for larger mitts a DK weight yarn and needles that will give you a gauge of approx 32 sts per 10 cm / 4” will result in a 20cm/8” circumference mitt - please note that a sample in this size has not been knitted.

Gauge:
36 stitches and 45 rows = 10cm / 4in in stranded knitted, knitted in the round, and blocked. Knitting to gauge is important to ensure that your knitted item is the correct size, and to ensure that yardage requirements are similar to those stated in the pattern.
